Historical Memory: Tarradellas and murder of 172 Marist

This past weekend has been opened in Barcelona on called "Democratic Memorial, a center to commemorate the Franco regime and to hide the violence in the Catalan Republican from 1936-1939, which killed thousands of people.
selective historical memory in this exquisite silence is saved to certain criminal acts of those responsible for the Republic and the Government of the time, as 8,352 killings and armed militias created by the Generalitat de Companys ; the torture chamber , authentic concentration camps where they were tortured and killed , and countless acts of barbarism on the politically correct thinking orders extend a veil of silence.
semisantificados One of the characters by McCabe of the "historical memory" progress is the president of the Catalan Josep Tarradellas, director of economics at the Companys government.
In 1936, after the first wave of killings by militia gunmen groups created by decree of 23.07.1936 Companys and armed by the Minister Escofet grew throughout European concern the physical integrity of members of religious organizations in Catalonia. One of these, of Marist, decided to make representations to the Government to save the lives of the brothers who remained in Catalonia, for what is put in contact with Aurelio Fernández Mir, a senior official of the Government which met with a religious congregation sent and received in the University Plaza 200,000 francs to ensure the survival of Catalan Marist.
Fernandez was a model of leadership for the Government: In the 20's era bank robber and in 1937 came to defraud the institution for which he was imprisoned.
Marist
The 172 whose lives were taken by senior officials of the Government were presented at the port of Barcelona, \u200b\u200bhoping to escape. All were sent to the torture chamber of San Elies, where Fernandez, speaking to his gunmen, genuine defenders of "democracy" republican, "he said:
Marist All were killed.
What happened to the 200,000 francs? Tarradellas
even kept the October 27, 1936 when the leader of the Generalitat, José Ascent said the Tarradellas gave half the money to buy weapons and the other half to take a Swiss bank account Esquerra of which was served after the war to guarantee an exile filed.
Fernandez, who finished in jail in 1937 for fraud was released after the requirements in this regard made by the anarchist leader García Oliver), who threatened to publicly reveal Tarradellas and Companys involvement in the murders of the Marist if that release occurred.
Tarradellas, lived a quiet and comfortable exile in Switzerland first and then France ( Tarradellas even described his situation in Switzerland as "privileged") and so continued until his return to Spain. Where did the money needed to pay for that convenience? Perhaps the money you gave the anarchists the result of the looting of patrols or part of the ransom money from Marist?
This "memorial" of historical memory left will not even tiptoe on nothing herein; not say a single point on who took the money resulting from the looting in Catalonia between 1936 and 39 allowed that while the vast majority of exiles had to survive on their own, others could be guaranteed a privileged life and a comfortable and quiet exile

bitterness increased speculation about Ping treasures, from forays into Spain, which were distributed in an arbitrary and for the benefit of the leaders. Complaints and disputes arose. The Catalan anarchists had surrendered to the Government of Companys
, somewhat naively, much of the proceeds of their
depredations, and Juan Garcia Oliver, head of the CNT and minister of Largo Caballero,
account his attempts to recover the flow:

Tarradellas, former director of the Government and then very radical, available funds, it was said, the financial aid Catalan personalities. It seemed to me that the explanation he gave me the treasures entrusted to deposit the government of the Generalitat of Catalonia was a ruse from the truth. Tarradellas, which have long disposed of an aircraft for personal use, made many trips with him to France. It was a matter of figuring out what those trips related to the accounts of the Great Captain gave me the fate of the treasures of the Committee on Militia and the forfeiture allegations of the police they did Negrin, a month before leaving for Barcelona . Tarradellas
claimed that the goods had been stolen in turn by Negrin, but the anarchist skeptical Companys threatened: "There is something of the past [...]
could lead to difficult situations [...] I mean treasures deposited in the Government by the Committee on Militia, whose deliveries were extended by receipts [...] With only one of these bills can the folks on the [national] [...] demand the extradition of Gassol Ventura adviser and chairman of the Government " . But Companys retold the same story Tarradellas, while in another time and place. Feat mentioned in turn "the thymus of five million francs, when the troubles in April [of 1938, reaching the Mediterranean nationals], made by the Generalitat to Méndez Aspe, sending a box of gold and securities. The millions located in Paris, the forty-eight hours disappeared [...] were to Companys and politicians and officials of the Government if they had to emigrate. "
