course, is news when you change the status quo in any field, but what they strange? By definition, Google is a search engine. So people come, look for something, and leaves. On the other hand, Facebook is a service designed to entertain people via contact with friends (on the definition of "friend on Facebook," then we'll talk) or online games, etc. Therefore, a person using the service arrives, and stays (sometimes hours). Indeed, the fact is that people spend each month on Facebook 700,000,000,000 minutes. Any shtick, right?
When we add that Facebook has more users than the entire population of some countries (I think the figure now walks 500 million), it is becoming obvious paradigm shift. That part that baffles me a bit is that the fact considers all Google sites. Yes, everyone, including YouTube. Interesting, no? Courtesy of FerGil
